Field pansy, Falkland Islands

FIELD PANSY Viola arvensis

Introduced. The Field Pansy is native to Europe, North Africa and Asia.  In the Falklands it might be found on East and West Falkland on cultivated or waste ground near settlements. It grows up to 40cm, and has serrated leaves. Flowers are cream; sometimes the upper and lateral petals are bluish.
